Clear lumber gives a clear outcome
Where do the streaks come from? The appearance is actually caused by a beetle that carries a fungus on its legs that causes the discoloration. Small holes are due to the beetle boring through the living wood.

The combination of colored epoxy inlay with quilted sycamore sets off the top from a hard surface kitchen island.

Wood is a great way to display food. These organic boards and trays are finished with food grade coatings and are sometimes left natural. Home furnishings and displays are finished with hand rubbed shellac, poly, urethane, Danish oil or lacquer.
Resin fill provides a valuable resource for fallentreegoods customers. State of art resins and custom mixed pigments are used to repair and enhance product performance.
This man cave bar area utilized a maple slab with resin inlay. Bow ties were added to the underside for structural support.
Figured walnut tray bottom with hammered copper handles. This project also applied clear resin with copper fines stirred in the pour.

Signature walnut table with crotch walnut base, seats 14 persons
Sound absorption panels create a beautiful acoustic element. Custom maple and walnut light boxes were paired with each panel group. The panels are 50% PET.
Each hardwood product is sourced from local scrap and waste hardwood. Raw material is selected based on beauty and cut of the wood and stage of decay. Often it is the decay process that is most valued.
Maple transformation for a south Denver home
This figured sycamore sitting area was integrated into a large quartz kitchen island. Steel supports were added to the underside. The highly figured “flake” sycamore, pairs well with the Box Elder cabinetry. It is worth noting that the Colorado grown Box Elder cabinets (acer negundo) and the Indiana grown Sycamore (acer pseudoplatanus) are from the same genus and are both considered maples.
